Network Field Technician - Minot, ND

We are seeking an experienced Network Field Technician to provide onsite IT and telecom infrastructure support. The role involves hands-on installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and smart-hands support for network, telecom, and IIoT systems in enterprise and remote environments. The technician will work closely with internal IT teams, telecom providers, and third-party vendors to ensure high availability and operational excellence.

Role: Network Field Technician (IT & Telecom Infrastructure)

Location: Minot, ND
Mode: Contract (6+ Months) Onsite

Key Responsibilities

Respond to and resolve ServiceNow incident tickets and perform IMAC activities.
Perform racking, stacking, cabling, patching, power installation, and equipment swaps.
Provide onsite smart-hands support for network and telecom infrastructure.
Troubleshoot connectivity issues (switch ports, power, ping tests, DNS lookups).
Install, maintain, and support routing, switching, firewalls, WiFi, IP Telephony.
Support fiber, copper, microwave, radio, VSAT, cellular (4G/5G), LPWAN, and IIoT systems.
Identify demarc points, label circuits, and ensure proper documentation.
Monitor environmental issues in communication rooms (cooling, leaks, power).
Escort and coordinate with vendors, telcos, and managed service providers.
Adhere to change management, security, audit, safety, and risk management procedures.
Support business continuity, disaster recovery, and emergency response activities.
Participate in root cause analysis and post-incident reviews as required.

Required Qualifications

4+ years of hands-on experience supporting network and telecom infrastructure.
Strong experience with onsite network hardware installation and maintenance.
Working knowledge of LAN/WAN, RF systems, WiFi, IPT, and IIoT/OT environments.
Experience supporting remote and industrial sites is a plus.
Ability to work independently in an onsite field environment.
