Summary

Position Title: Network Architect Consultant

Location: Columbia, South Carolina
Candidate must be a current South Carolina resident.

Required Certifications:

One or more of the following:

MCP

MCSE

VMware

Veeam

Core Technical Skills

3+ years of experience with networking protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, MLLP, NDMP, and NTP

3+ years of experience with Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) hardware and software administration

3+ years of experience with Veeam backup and recovery solutions

3+ years of experience with Hyper-V host and virtual machine administration

3+ years of experience configuring and troubleshooting VMware environments

3+ years of experience with Disaster Recovery planning and execution

3+ years of experience with Change Management processes

Compliance and Security

3+ years of experience working with PCI and NIST regulations including implementation and audits

Experience with Pub 1075 compliance

STIG hardening experience

Strong understanding of information security best practices

Infrastructure and Architecture

Experience with Hybrid Cloud Architecture

Experience with Hyperconverged Infrastructure

Shell scripting experience preferred

Education Requirements

Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with 2+ years of IT systems experience
OR

6+ years of hands-on experience in IT systems or a related field

Daily Duties and Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with peers through Director-level IT stakeholders

Act as a self-starter with strong ownership and accountability

Provide feedback on product issues, enhancements, and new features

Ask the right questions to drive clarity and better outcomes

Proactively identify and implement process improvements

Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and provide regular status updates to stakeholders

Collaborate with peers and leadership to resolve client issues and contribute to shared knowledge

Prioritize and resolve issues across varying severity levels within defined SLAs

Maintain accurate and timely updates in the Helpdesk system

Deliver strong customer service with attention to detail and responsiveness

Technical Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and recommend solutions related to backup configuration and recovery

Develop workaround solutions when needed to ensure continuity

Monitor and assess backup systems and recommend hardware or software improvements

Install, configure, test, monitor, and maintain backup applications and hardware

Perform system and software upgrades

Stay current with evolving computer and network technologies

Follow and promote corporate information security standards

Support special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned
