Technology Analyst within the
Enterprise Data Office (EDO) to support the
enterprise business intelligence, reporting, and data preparation platform engineering team (Scrummybears) .
This role focuses on supporting the operation, adoption, and continuous improvement of enterprise data preparation and reporting platforms, including
Dataiku, Power BI, Tableau , and related enterprise tools.
Platform Support & Intake - Triage and manage incoming requests through established intake channels (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira), identifying whether needs are related to usage support, defects, enhancements, or governance.
- Provide first-level support and guidance to users, escalating issues to engineering teams when appropriate with clear context and documentation.
Platform Operations & Backlog Support - Partner with platform product owners to support backlog management, including capturing, clarifying, and refining platform-related requests.
- Assist in translating user needs and operational insights into well-defined requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Identify recurring issues, inefficiencies, or gaps in platform usage and help surface these as actionable inputs into platform improvement efforts.
Governance, Guardrails & Standards Support - Support enterprise governance models related to platform access, roles, permissions, and operational standards.
- Help ensure consistent application of platform guardrails by providing clear guidance and education to users.
- Proactively identify potential governance, risk, or compliance concerns related to platform usage and escalate appropriately.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of platform standards, documentation, and usage guidelines.
Cross-Team Coordination & Communication - Act as a connector between platform engineering teams and key partners, including security, risk, architecture, and business analytics teams.
- Support coordination of platform changes, enhancements, and operational updates to ensure clear communication and smooth adoption.
- Assist in preparing platform communications, release notes, and user-facing materials to promote transparency and awareness.

As a Technology Analyst you will partner with the business to understand business needs and outcomes as well as provide all types of analysis skills related to understanding and meeting business outcomes. They translate business outcomes into solution requirements using techniques such as facilitation and visual management. A Technology Analyst should have broad technology and analysis experience including: facilitation with large stakeholder groups, managing the complete requirements lifecycle, conducting structured analysis using both quantitative and qualitative techniques, analyzing data and application suites, and problem-solving using a collaborative style. Technology Analysts are engaged in work efforts at all scales ranging from minor defect fixes and enhancements to development of new applications. You will also work on all types of solution approaches (e.g. custom development, package implementation) and domains (e.g. all application types, data warehouses, Web, and Cloud).

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Technology Manager or Director.
Typical Skills and Experiences: Education: Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or a related field is preferred.
License/Certification/Designation: Technology certifications or designation are not required but encouraged.
Experience: Six years of relevant work experience including software delivery or educational experience within a technology domain. Experience with delivering Technology and/or business solutions across industries, platforms and/or lines of business (LOB) within the insurance and/or financial services industries. Demonstrated capability in managing the requirements lifecycle, including facilitation, elicitation, and documenting requirements.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills, knowledge of planning. Ability to influence, negotiate and set priorities needed. Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus.
Other criteria, including leadership or technical skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
