Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and delivering data from diverse sources (cloud, on-premise, digital channels).
- Collaborate with business leaders and technical teams to gather, define, and document data engineering requirements.
- Migrate and optimize datasets from on-premise databases to cloud data warehouses.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify anomalies, inform engineering methods, and improve data quality.
- Build and manage technical documentation, including ETL mappings, data dictionaries, and data models.
- Validate data migrations and transformations through rigorous testing and quality assurance processes.
- Implement and monitor data governance policies, including privacy, retention, and audit requirements.
- Develop and maintain data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional efforts to align business needs with technical solutions, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Key Skills: Python, SQL, ETL,KAFKA/Spark/Flink/Kinesi .
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, statistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5–10 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or related technical roles.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and large-scale data manipulation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with cloud data platforms and migration projects.
- Proficiency in writing effective test cases/scripts and maintaining traceability matrices.
- Experience with data validation, product testing, and usability testing.
- Project management or process improvement experience.
- Cloud Data Warehouses: Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, Google BigQuery
- Stream Processing: Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Apache Flink, AWS Kinesis
- Programming Languages: Python, JavaScript, SAS, R, SciPy
- ETL & Data Integration: SAP, C4C (Cloud for Customer), Data Marketplace, custom ETL tools
- Business Intelligence & Visualization: Power BI, Tableau
- Testing & Validation: API testing, QA and production validation, traceability matrix
- Digital Channels: Web, Mobile App, Interactive Voice Response (IVR)
- Collaboration & Agile Tools: Teams, Agile planning, retrospectives
- Experience with data privacy, PII regulatory requirements, and data governance.
- Familiarity with omni-channel concepts and digital platforms.
- Agile project experience and test-driven development.
