Title: Project Manager - IT Infrastructure Upgrade

Location: Hybrid (2-3 days/week onsite Newark, NJ)

Duration: Fulltime

ComTec is looking for a Project Manager who has proven experience leading complex IT Infrastructure Upgrade projects such as Windows Server Upgrade and Server Consolidation/Virtualization projects.

Responsibilities:

• Manage IT Infrastructure such as Windows Server Upgraded and Server Consolidation/Virtualization projects.
• Develop a project plan and drive execution steps for the windows Server Upgrade project.
• Develop a shared document repository, collect business requirements from application services, infrastructure operations, desktop engineering, and information security.
• Maintain a RAID log and facilitate go/no-go decisions.
• Facilitate OCM activities across the support organizations in the service desk and tech support as well as communicating to business users in collaboration with OCM group.
• Manage projects from business case-to-implementation.
• Project Management includes budget management, resource allocation, kick off meetings, project planning, project execution and control, communication, risk analysis, quality assurance, team and vendor management, and project implementation.
• Perform actual vs. planned analysis at the project level and forecast cost of the project.
• Develop project plans/scope/schedule and track progress, milestones, and deliverables.
• Facilitate and attend meetings with various technical and non-technical resources to capture project requirements, identify project milestones, communicate project timelines, track action items, and monitor project status.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of experience in IT Project Management environment
• A solid track record managing largescale infrastructure modernization or migration initiatives
• Strong coordination skills across technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple high visibility projects simultaneously with internal resources and external vendors
• Experience with risk management, scheduling, and budget oversight in infrastructure environments
• Expert understanding of the Project Management processes and methodologies
• Familiarity with Operating system upgrades is a plus.
