Requirement:

Role: Data Engineer

Location: Plano, TX

Duration: Long term

Responsibilities

Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS services (EMR, Glue, Lambda, S3).
Develop and optimize Spark jobs in PySpark/Scala on EMR and Databricks.
Manage data lake and warehouse environments using S3, Redshift, Delta Lake, and Databricks.
Integrate data from APIs, RDBMS, streaming systems, and third-party sources.
Implement data quality checks, metadata management, and performance tuning.
Automate deployments and workflows using CI/CD, Terraform/CloudFormation, and orchestration tools like Airflow.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines to ensure reliability and cost efficiency.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of data engineering experience.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EMR required), S3, Glue, IAM, CloudWatch.
Advanced experience with Databricks (Delta Lake, notebooks, jobs, cluster tuning).
Expertise in Spark (PySpark/Scala) and SQL.
Solid Python skills.
Experience with workflow orchestration (Airflow/Step Functions) and IaC tools.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Kafka/Kinesis, streaming pipelines, and ML workflows.
Knowledge of security best practices (IAM, KMS, data governance).
AWS certifications are a plus.
