Job Title: Business Process Consultant (Financial Systems)
Location: Ocoee, FL (Onsite/Hybrid as applicable)

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Business Process Consultant with a strong background in financial systems implementations. This role focuses on analyzing, designing, and optimizing enterprise financial processes and systems by aligning accounting, finance, and business operations with IT solutions. The consultant will work closely with Finance, Accounting, and Technology teams to ensure system implementations support operational efficiency, compliance, and long-term business objectives.
This is an intermediate to senior-level professional role that may involve leading initiatives, supporting multiple projects, and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Systems & Process Leadership
- Lead end-to-end business process analysis, redesign, and optimization for financial system implementations and upgrades
- Translate accounting and finance requirements into detailed system and process specifications
- Ensure systems comply with GAAP, regulatory, audit, and internal control requirements
- Provide subject matter expertise in accounting workflows, financial controls, and data integrity
Business Process Engineering
- Document current-state financial processes and systems; identify gaps and improvement opportunities
- Design and implement scalable, standardized future-state financial processes
- Define performance metrics and reporting to measure post-implementation effectiveness
- Support transition activities including change management, knowledge transfer, and user adoption
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a lead or senior contributor on large, complex, enterprise financial system projects
- Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, IT teams, external vendors, and auditors
- Support project planning, prioritization, risk management, and issue resolution
- Prepare and present project status updates to management
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and project team members
Strategic Advisory & Continuous Improvement
- Advise leadership on future-state financial systems and process improvement opportunities
- Monitor evolving regulatory and business requirements to ensure ongoing alignment
- Contribute to financial process roadmaps and enterprise system integration strategies
Required Qualifications
- 8-10 years of progressive experience in systems integration and business process consulting
- Strong expertise in financial systems and accounting principles
- Experience with ERP systems and financial platforms
- Knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or similar professional certification
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
