Position: SAP Archiving Support Analyst
Location: Austin, Texas/Hybrid Onsite
Duration: Contract
Job Overview: The SAP Archiving Support Analyst will work onsite as a member of the SAP Global IT Organization to develop, support, and implement SAP Archiving solutions. This role is critical in executing projects and initiatives aimed at managing data growth within the SAP landscape. The ideal candidate will have prior SAP Archiving experience, ABAP knowledge, and functional expertise in FI/SD.
Responsibilities: - Analyze data volume across multiple large SAP systems.
- Collaborate with various groups to define scope and gather business requirements.
- Provide conceptual and detailed designs to meet business needs.
- Configure both standard and custom Archive objects.
- Monitor Archiving jobs for effectiveness and completeness.
- Re-evaluate and update Archiving jobs to optimize existing runs.
Qualifications: - Strong understanding of ABAP programming and debugging skills.
- Experience in writing design documents based on requirements.
- Proven problem-solving skills with minimal guidance.
- Prior SAP Data Archiving experience and FI or SD functional expertise.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with SAP Upgrade Projects, especially related to SAP Data Archiving functionality.
- Knowledge of third-party Archiving solutions and tools (preferably PBS & Dolphin).
- Experience with Archive Link Imaging functionality (storage and retrieval of attachments).
- Experience with high-volume SAP implementations (multi-terabyte systems).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Organized and capable of managing multiple concurrent activities.
- Open to learning new procedures and attentive to details.
- Experience or understanding of SAP Information Lifecycle Management (SAP ILM) is a plus.
