Role Overview

The Mobile Application Developer designs, develops, and maintains mobile applications to ensure users have secure, reliable access to organizational services across multiple mobile platforms. This role is responsible for the full mobile application lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, performance optimization, and troubleshooting. The position also supports specialized public safety and dispatch integrations through a proof-of-concept (POC) deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms
• Optimize application performance, stability, and user experience for mobile users
• Troubleshoot and resolve mobile application issues across devices and operating systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver mobile solutions
• Follow secure coding practices and mobile development best practices

Public Safety & TAK Platform Integration (POC)

• Install and configure a proof-of-concept (POC) TAK Server within a server network
• Integrate the TAK Server with users running the TAKAware iOS application, enabling:
• Real-time visibility of user locations within defined groups
• Enable real-time data sharing and situational awareness across mobile users

CAD & Data Integration

• Integrate the TAK Server with the Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system
• Ensure integrations support live data feeds, including:
• Live incidents with call details and geographic locations
• Live unit statuses
• Live unit locations
• Enable real-time display of CAD data within:
• ATAK on Android devices
• TAKAware on iOS devices

Security, Reliability & Compliance

• Ensure mobile device connections are:
• Secure
• Reliable
• Compliant with CJIS standards
• Support securing the application environment using Okta for authentication and access control
• Implement mobile security best practices to protect sensitive public safety data
