Position Title: AI Data Architect

Hybrid: Hybrid in Alpharetta, GA or Parsippany, NJ

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced AI Data Architect to design, build, and evolve data and

AI architectures that power advanced analytics, semantic models, and AI-driven experiences. This role is hands-on and sits at the intersection of data architecture, AI/ML engineering, and modern cloud data platforms. The ideal candidate has deep experience working with data, understands how AI systems consume and reason over data, and can translate complex datasets into AI-ready, governed, and scalable architectures.

This role will partner closely with engineering, AI/ML teams, and stakeholders to enable text-to-SQL, conversational AI, and agentic workflows using modern semantic and cloud-native approaches.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement AI-ready data architectures, including semantic models, data layers, and metadata frameworks that support analytics and AI use cases.
• Develop and maintain semantic models using RDF, semantic web principles, and modern data graph concepts.
• Architect and optimize text-to-SQL solutions, enabling natural language access to structured data (high priority).
• Support and collaborate on hands-on ML engineering and MLOps efforts,ensuring data pipelines align with model training, inference, and deployment needs.
• Design and govern data models, schemas, and workflows across relational and analytical data platforms.
• Establish and enforce data governance, data quality, and metadata standards to support trusted AI and analytics.
• Work extensively with cloud-based data platforms on AWS, including data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows.
• Architect and support data solutions using Snowflake and Databricks, with strong understanding of data pipelines and workflows (not necessarily BI stack ownership).
• Enable analytics and visualization use cases by delivering clean, well-modeled datasets to BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
• Collaborate on or support conversational AI and chatbot solutions, including agentic architectures, MCPs, and orchestration patterns.
• Provide hands-on expertise in SQL, data analysis, and performance optimization.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business and AI requirements into scalable data and semantic solutions.

Must Haves:

• 7+ years of experience working with data architecture, data engineering, or advanced analytics platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL and relational data modeling.
• Experience with large scale data warehousing and DW modeling
• Proven experience designing and working with semantic models, including RDF and semantic web concepts.
• Demonstrated experience with cloud data platforms on AWS.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks, including data workflows and pipelines.
• Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts, with experience supporting ML engineering and MLOps initiatives.
• Experience with text-to-SQL, NLP-driven analytics, or natural language interfaces to data.
• Familiarity with agentic AI concepts, MCPs, and conversational AI architectures.
• Strong background in data governance, data quality, and metadata management.
• Ability to clearly explain AI, NLP, and semantic concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desired/Not Required:

• Experience delivering or supporting data graph databases.
• Exposure to NLP pipelines, embeddings, and AI-assisted analytics.
• Experience supporting or integrating with BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI).
• Prior experience contributing to chatbot or conversational interfaces.
• Familiarity with DevOps or DataOps practices in cloud environments.
• Experience with vector databases
