Job Description:
• Seasoned Data & AI Governance professional with deep, hands-on implementation experience with leading tools like Informatica IDMC, Collibra, Alation, IBM Watsonx.governance etc., to evolve our enterprise-wide data governance and AI governance initiatives.
• This role will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, define and operationalize the data governance operating model, and drive adoption of best-in-class governance tools, processes, and standards across the organization.
• The ideal candidate combines strong strategic thinking with execution excellence, brings extensive experience implementing leading data governance platforms, and stays current with rapidly evolving AI governance, responsible AI, and regulatory expectations.
• This role requires the ability to operate in multiple capacities, strategist, architect, program leader, and executive communicator.
Must-have’s:
• Demonstrated success in designing, implementing, and scaling enterprise-wide data governance programs.
• Hands-on experience deploying data governance solutions using leading platforms such as Informatica IDMC, Collibra, Alation, Ataccama, Atlan, and Microsoft Purview.
• Strong expertise in AI governance, including operating models, AI use case and model inventories, responsible and ethical AI frameworks, agent guardrails, and alignment with EU AI Act, ISO/IEC 42001, and NIST standards. (Experience with leading AI governance tools : Watsonx.governance, Credo,ai etc., will be a plus)
The ideal candidate will lead and execute the following responsibilities and is expected to bring demonstrated proficiency in each area.
• Define, evolve, and operationalize the enterprise data governance and AI governance strategy, aligned to business outcomes, regulatory expectations, and technology roadmaps.
• Design and implement a scalable Data Governance Operating Model encompassing roles, responsibilities, processes, decision rights, and KPIs.
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement AI governance tools and platforms, including model governance, monitoring, and compliance solutions.
• Provide thought leadership on the data and AI governance technology ecosystem, trends, and vendor capabilities.
• Define AI governance processes aligned with evolving internal policies and external regulatory standards.
• Partner with legal, risk, compliance, security, and technology teams on AI governance controls and accountability models.
• Lead and deliver Data and AI governance maturity assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and gap analyses across business units.
• Drive enterprise-wide adoption of governance standards through change management, communication, and enablement.
• Willingly play multiple “hat roles” as needed—strategy lead, solution architect, program manager, and hands-on implementer."
