Title : Specialist, Labor Relations (Administrative Support for HR/Labor Relations team)
Work Location : Jacksonville, Florida, 32225 / Onsite
Contract Duration : 3 months (Possibility of extension)
Job ID - 1587-1General Responsibilities:
Provide support for the administration of employee performance management processes, collective bargaining agreements, and personnel data files.
Partner with the Labor Relations department staff to help assure proper documentation of personnel performance matters and filing of paperwork with labor unions.
May perform reviews of personnel records for accuracy and perform data entries or corrections under direction of personnel managers.
Review, update and maintain documents to ensure completeness, confirm accuracy of data, resolve discrepancies, ensure compliance, etc.
Interface with Labor Relations on grievances or related processes.
May support coaching and performance management activities under the guidance of Labor Relations.
Must be flexible and willing to support general administrative functions and tasks for the overall team.
Experience :
0 - 1 year of experience in an administrative support function, working in a team environment;
1-3 years of relevant HR or Labor experience preferred.
Technical Proficiencies :
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
Proficiency in Oracle or NS preferred.
Working Conditions :
Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like.
Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
Competencies :
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external business partners.
Ability to function effectively with, or as part of a team.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects that may vary in nature and scope.
Ability to understand and apply contract language and related federal, state and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations related to the administration of labor relations.
Basic knowledge of the principles, practices and standards of human resources and labor relations administration.
Ability to effectively follow procedures and review documentation of processes for accuracy.
Education :
High school diploma or equivalent required; after high school and job-related training preferred..
