Role Overview

The Cloud Integration Architect (OIC Architect) is a senior, hands-on role responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise integration solutions using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and related Oracle middleware technologies. The architect will act as a strategic advisor, translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing integration architectures while leading technical delivery and mentoring teams.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Solution Design

• Lead the design and implementation of complex integration architectures across:

  • Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)

  • Oracle SOA Suite

  • API frameworks

  • Oracle Database and PL/SQL

• Architect end-to-end integration solutions using:

  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

  • OIC

  • REST/SOAP-based services

  • Oracle Database and PL/SQL

Technical Leadership & Delivery

• Drive solution design workshops and technical architecture sessions.

• Participate in presales activities, including technical proposals and client presentations.

• Guide and mentor development teams on best practices and architecture patterns.

• Ensure adherence to integration standards around:

  • Error handling

  • Security

  • Data pipelines

  • Logging and monitoring

DevOps & Governance

• Contribute to DevOps practices using tools such as Maven and Jenkins.

• Define and enforce integration governance, coding standards, and documentation practices.

Client Engagement & Support

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients on cloud integration strategy and roadmap.

• Provide implementation support at customer sites (up to 30% travel as required).

Required Skills & Experience

• 8 10+ years of experience in middleware and enterprise integration.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with:

  • Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)

  • Oracle SOA 12c

  • Oracle Service Bus (OSB)

  • BPEL

  • VBCS

  • PCS

• Deep knowledge of Oracle Fusion Middleware, including:

  • APEX

  • ODI

  • PL/SQL

  • Unix/Linux

• Strong hands-on experience with:

  • REST and SOAP services

  • Python

  • Terraform

  • Maven and Jenkins (CI/CD)

• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent presentation, communication, and client engagement abilities.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience as a Cloud Integration Architect / OIC Architect.

• Ability to translate business requirements into robust, scalable cloud integration architectures.

• Hands-on leadership in large-scale Oracle cloud and middleware transformation programs.

Preferred / Desirable Skills

• Experience with additional OCI services and cloud-native integration patterns.

• Exposure to microservices architecture and event-driven integration.

• Experience working in Agile/DevOps delivery models.
