Solutions Architect

Position: Solutions Architect
Location: Sacramento, CA (Hybrid)

Job Description

• Collaborate with the architecture portfolio to design, develop, and maintain Enterprise Architecture (EA) strategies, processes, methodologies, and models.

• Promote reusable enterprise technology solutions aligned with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.

• Evaluate short-term and long-term business goals and contribute to technology roadmap planning.

• Advocate and integrate Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to enhance application security.

• Ensure solutions align with approved architecture patterns, frameworks, and technology standards.

• Lead proof-of-concept (POC) and research initiatives to evaluate new architectural approaches.

• Design and implement secure, scalable, high-performance n-tier systems.

• Define and promote enterprise technical standards and infrastructure architecture.

• Support enterprise modernization initiatives (ENCORE), including cloud strategy, DevOps, and legacy system modernization.

• Partner with business units and IT teams to deliver architecture solutions that meet business needs and integrate with existing systems.

• Define and lead application architecture strategy for cloud migration.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology (or equivalent experience).

• Experience:

  • 7+ years in software engineering and application development

  • 3+ years in Enterprise, Solution, Application, or Technical Architecture

  • Strong experience in Agile environments, CI/CD, and DevOps

• Web & UI Technologies: JavaScript, CSS/SCSS/LESS, MVC, Bootstrap, Kendo UI, jQuery

• Frameworks: Angular, React, Node.js

• Platforms & Tools: Microservices, NoSQL, AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform, Docker, Kubernetes, Service Fabric, Logic Apps

Required Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of enterprise application delivery models and system integration

• Deep knowledge of application security, including authentication, authorization, encryption, certificates, and OWASP

• Experience with Visual Studio (2015+), Git/TFS, and Azure DevOps

• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, Dependency Injection, Dapper, and test automation

• Proven ability to design solutions for complex technical challenges beyond standard approaches
