Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer with strong Oracle APEX expertise to support application development and maintenance for the State of Virginia. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in Oracle database development, performance tuning, and building enterprise applications using Oracle APEX.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views
Develop and enhance web-based applications using Oracle APEX
Perform SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning and optimization
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Provide production support, bug fixes, and enhancements
Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and other developers
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with state standards
Prepare and maintain technical documentation

Required Skills

10+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle APEX
Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, packages, triggers, procedures, and functions
Experience with Oracle Forms & Reports (preferred)
Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization
Experience working with large, complex databases
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
