Overview:
A leading public-sector organization is seeking an experienced System Center Service Manager (SCSM) Administrator to support and enhance its enterprise IT service management environment. This role focuses on administering, maintaining, and improving the System Center platform, developing automation workflows, and supporting service request processes across the organization. This is a long-term staff augmentation role, not tied to a specific project timeline.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and support Microsoft System Center Service Manager (SCSM), including configuration, customization, and integration with SCCM, SCOM, and Orchestrator.
• Design, develop, and maintain workflows using System Center Orchestrator and PowerShell.
• Manage and enhance the Cireson Service Manager portal, including custom configurations and basic JavaScript updates.
• Maintain, patch, and upgrade System Center, Orchestrator, Cireson, and Windows Server environments.
• Gather and document business and technical requirements for new service requests and process improvements.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and primary point of contact for the Service Manager environment.
• Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to deliver efficient IT service solutions.
• Lead or support initiatives such as system upgrades, migrations, and major implementations.
• Provide occasional after-hours support as required.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft System Center (SCSM, Orchestrator, SCCM, SCOM).
• Strong Windows Server administration and patching experience (5+ years).
• 3+ years of experience with Azure administration.
• Experience with IT service management frameworks (ITIL or similar).
• Working knowledge of Cireson, PowerShell, SQL Server, Active Directory / Entra ID.
• Ability to develop and support automation and integration workflows.
• Strong communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• JavaScript, Power BI, HTML, XML
• Experience in healthcare or regulated environments
• Microsoft Server or System Center certifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience (5+ years).
