We're looking for an experienced BBx Support Engineer to join our team, providing expert-level support for our legacy systems built on BBj and PRO/5 platforms. You'll troubleshoot issues, develop fixes, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure system stability and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tier-3 support for BBj and PRO/5 applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, including code debugging and optimization
- Develop and maintain procedural code (PRO/5 and BBj) for system enhancements and fixes
- Collaborate with development teams for new feature implementation and integration
- Work with SQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) for data queries and optimization
- Create documentation for system processes and issue resolutions
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical system issues
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience with BBj and/or PRO/5
- Strong understanding of procedural programming (PRO/5 and BBj)
- C# knowledge for integration and interface development
- SQL expertise for database management and querying
- Experience with legacy system support and troubleshooting
- Good communication skills for working with internal teams and stakeholders
Nice to Have:
- Experience with BASIS or system administration
- Knowledge of other programming languages (e.g., Java, Python)
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
