Summary

Nifi Administrator (Mid-Level)

Location: Charlotte NC

Role Summary

We are seeking a mid-level Apache NiFi Administrator to support and maintain enterprise data-flow pipelines in a production environment. This role is hands-on and operationally focused, responsible for monitoring, incident response, and ensuring high availability, security, and performance of NiFi platforms.

This role works closely with onshore and offshore teams and plays a key part in maintaining data platform reliability.

Must-Have (Core NiFi Responsibilities)

Administer, operate, and support Apache NiFi clusters in production environments

Manage NiFi flows, processors, queues, templates, and controller services

Perform NiFi upgrades, patching, and configuration management

Monitor NiFi performance, throughput, latency, and failure rates

Troubleshoot flow failures, back-pressure issues, and node failures

Manage NiFi security (TLS, users, policies, certificates)

Perform root cause analysis for NiFi outages and degradations

Ensure high availability, node health, and data integrity

Required (Platform & Operations)

Experience supporting NiFi on cloud infrastructure

Other Must Have

Experience remediating security vulnerabilities (CVE patching, library updates, OS patching)

Experience working with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy, etc.)

Ability to follow and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and support documentation

Strong collaboration with onshore and offshore teams

Comfortable working in incident-driven environments (24/7 support model)

Nice to Have

Experience with NiFi Registry

Experience with Kafka, cloud storage, or APIs

Automation using scripts or pipelines

Strong experience with monitoring tools such as:

Stackdriver / Google Cloud Monitoring

AWS CloudWatch

Splunk, Prometheus, or similar

Soft Skills

Strong written and verbal communication

Able to lead troubleshooting calls and explain issues clearly

Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits

Calm under pressure during production incidents
