GenAI Coach

Overview

We are seeking senior-level GenAI Coaches to support ATS engineering teams through a large-scale GenAI transformation program launching in January. This role focuses on helping developers improve productivity and delivery quality by effectively using AI-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot, prompt engineering best practices, and AI-assisted coding workflows. (This is not an AI model development role; it is a hands-on coaching position supporting teams in “developing with AI.”)

Role Objectives

• Enable developers to effectively use GenAI tools into their daily workflows.

• Utilize standardized best practices across ATS using a structured adoption framework (Basic → Intermediate → Advanced).

• Provide expert guidance to resolve issues with AI primitives: prompts, custom agents, custom instructions, skills, etc.

• Support both individual developers and full application teams through scheduled coaching sessions and structured adoption sprints.

• Providing professional services for building AI workflows using Copilot

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 and group coaching sessions for developers (on-demand model).

• Lead short-term application ramp-ups (2–3-week engagements) for specific scrum or application teams.

• Evaluate developer usage patterns and identify opportunities for improvement in AI-assisted workflows.

• Teach best practices for AI primitives:

·       Prompt engineering

·       Copilot usage and optimization

·       Context and repository management

·       Debugging incorrect/failed agent behavior

·       Managing or extending custom agents

• Participate in community events, office hours, and expert appointments hosted by Level Up.

• Provide feedback to the Level Up team on common challenges, adoption patterns, and areas requiring refined guidance.

• Operate within a follow-the-sun support model across U.S. and Israel teams.

Required Experience & Skills

• 7+ years of software engineering experience across multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, Go, etc.).

• Hands-on expertise using AI tools for development (prompt engineering, context frameworks, agent troubleshooting), especially Microsoft Copilot (GitHub Copilot, M365 Copilot)

• Strong coaching, communication, and teaching skills; ability to break down complex concepts for diverse developers.

• Experience guiding teams in AI-augmented workflows—especially in modern DevOps/CI/CD environments.

• Ability to work with ambiguity and coach developers at varying levels of AI proficiency.

• Multidisciplinary technical background preferred; prior experience across multiple stacks is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting large transformation programs at scale.

• Background working with distributed teams across global time zones.

• Knowledge of complementary “booster” tools (AI for testing, architecture Q&A, Jira planning, vulnerability tools, etc.).
