Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years Radiology Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Produce high-quality diagnostic radiographs as an integral part of a healthcare team serving a scenic coastal community. This contract opportunity is located in Laytonville, CA, where you will operate advanced x-ray equipment to assist physicians in diagnosing patient conditions, ensuring safety, and delivering compassionate patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate x-ray and fluoroscopy equipment to produce accurate radiographs for diagnostic purposes
- Position and instruct patients professionally prior to examinations
- Adjust equipment settings including voltage, current, and exposure time for optimal imaging
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment to maintain readiness
- Monitor patient safety throughout imaging procedures
- Document exam details and verify images within PACS
- Communicate findings and any critical information promptly to physicians
- Adhere to organizational safety standards including vaccination requirements
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Radiological Technology preferred
- Required certifications: ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiography), current state Radiologic Tech licensure in CA, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Fluoroscopy license (or obtain within 6 months)
- Strong patient communication and positioning skills
- Commitment to safety and quality imaging
