Lead Application Developer/Tester

UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Lead Developer/Tester for an onsite role in Albany, NY to support enterprise-level web applications through comprehensive manual and automated testing efforts. Active LinkedIn profile preferred.

Qualified candidate Minimum must have at least 6-year of experience executing application testing based on written test scripts, including REST and SOAP API testing. And a Minimum 6-years of programming experience with PL/SQL, SQL, Java, VB, .NET, HTML, PHP, C#, JavaScript, Ruby, and TSL

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in HP ALM, test automation frameworks, performance testing tools, and modern programming languages, with a strong ability to collaborate across business, technical, and stakeholder teams. This role requires a hands-on professional capable of developing robust test strategies, executing complex test cycles, and ensuring high-quality software delivery in a large, multi-system environment.

MANDATORY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE Candidates who do not meet the mandatory requirements will not be considered.

• Bachelors Degree
• Minimum 5-years of experience creating automation test scripts using VBScript, C#, Java, or Python with Selenium
• Minimum 5-years of lead development experience building web-based systems using ASP.NET Web Forms and C#
• Minimum 5-years of hands-on experience with QTP (Quick Test Pro), WinRunner, and/or HP UFT
• Minimum 5-years of experience testing SOA and RESTful services using SOAPUI and/or Postman, including Ruby on Railsbased applications
• Minimum 60 months of experience with performance testing tools, including LoadRunner
• Minimum 72 months of experience executing application testing based on written test scripts, including REST and SOAP API testing
• Minimum 72 months of programming experience with PL/SQL, SQL, Java, VB, .NET, HTML, PHP, C#, JavaScript, Ruby, and TSL
• Minimum 72 months of hands-on development experience on the .NET (4.0+) platform, including C#, WCF services, and responsive web applications
• Minimum 60 months of experience in architecture, engineering, design, and development using MongoDB
• Minimum 60 months of experience developing dynamic components and services using Vue.js, Angular, AXIOS, and VUEX to consume REST APIs
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical teams and business stakeholders
• Prior experience supporting New York State applications or agencies

SCOPE OF SERVICES

• Collaborate with business analysts, subject matter experts, and technical teams to develop and execute comprehensive test plans in HP ALM
• Perform System, Integration, End-to-End, Automated, Performance, Smoke, Black Box, White Box, Usability, and Fail-Over testing
• Design, record, and execute automated functional test scripts using QTP, WinRunner, and HP UFT
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of UFT automation frameworks
• Create, manage, and execute functional and regression test scripts; document and track defects using HP ALM
• Conduct testing across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Develop reusable automation scripts and generic testing functions
• Execute performance, load, stress, and break testing using tools such as LoadRunner and Astra Load Test
• Perform API testing for SOAP and REST services using SOAPUI and Postman
• Develop detailed technical and testing documentation
• Participate in technical meetings, support calls, and collaborative problem-solving sessions
• Support testing of new releases and enhancements for enterprise web applications
