Job Summary/Purpose:The information security organization offers a unique opportunity for students who are passionate about cyber security and want an opportunity to apply what they've learned in a real-world information technology and operational technology environment. The opportunities span across security operations, security engineering and vulnerability management. The culmination of the internship will require a report and presentation to senior management.

This is a hybrid position.Job Duties/Responsibilities:- Performs tasks associated with gathering, analyzing, and documentation of data assets and data points
- Assist in the production of dashboards and reports for the data as instructed
- Assist with identification and triage of security incidents
- Assist with identification of software security patches, vulnerabilities, and threats
- Assist with ensuring documentation on incidents or requests for support is timely and accurate through our issues tracking application
- Assist in managing system access through various toolsets, as required
- Gain an understanding of existing business processes and systems
- Assist in the integration of data from multiple sources to draw conclusions regarding Entergy's security posture
- Competently interface with other groups and Business Units
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications:- Self-driven, self-motivated
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity and attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures
- Basic understanding of security domains including risk management, security operations, security architecture, infrastructure security, access management and cloud security
- Scripting/automation capabilities and data analytics capabilities a plus
- Demonstration of knowledge via security compliance related internships, classes or projects
Minimum Education required of the position:- Candidates must be actively pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree in Cyber Security
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher is required (on a 4.0 scale)
Preferred Knowledge/Capabilities- Firewall, SIEM, Threat Intelligence, IDS, Endpoint Detection, SOAR, Ticketing System
