Job Title: Powertrain Controls Engineer
Location: Columbus, IN (100% On-site)
Contract Duration: 6 Months (Potential for extension)
Compensation: $56.81/hr - $65.00/hr (W2)
Position Overview
We are looking for Powertrain Controls Engineers to support a critical automotive project in Columbus, IN. This role focuses on the design, modeling, and validation of software components for vehicle powertrain systems (ECM, Traction Control, etc.). The ideal candidate is a MATLAB/Simulink expert with deep knowledge of OBD and engine calibration tools.
Key Responsibilities
* Model-Based Development: Design and develop control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow.
* Code Generation: Perform auto-code generation using TargetLink.
* Testing & Validation: Execute MIL (Model-in-the-Loop) and SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) back-to-back testing.
* System Integration: Manage CAN communication and subsystem diagnostics (UDS/OBD).
* Calibration: Handle OEM calibration tools for engine parameter tuning.
* Standards Compliance: Adhere to ASPICE standards and defined configuration management processes.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 6 to 8+ years in Powertrain Controls.
* Core Tools: Expert proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and TargetLink.
* Diagnostics: Hands-on experience with OBD, J1939, or UDS protocols.
* Calibration: Proven experience handling OEM calibration tools.
* Education: BE in Electrical and Electronics.
