Senior Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Richmond, VA. They expect someone who can ramp up quickly and be fully operational within 30 days, managing projects at a top level.

Scope:
* Large teams with many moving parts; Scope creep is a major concern
* Must manage scope and budget effectively, breaking work down into teams and hourly billing
* For multi-year projects, budgets must be reassessed monthly
* Release cycles: pre-go-live, then releases every 3 weeks
* Prefers projects with 20+ team members

REQUIREMENTS:
* Must have experience managing large-scale projects (not just -I've managed a project-)
* Needs strong delegation skills while maintaining close oversight (-micromanage-y but able to delegate-)
* Highly detail-oriented (almost OCD-level attention to detail)
* Politically savvy - able to navigate a complex, top-level political environment
* Strong client management skills to appease jurisdictions and states
* Comfortable with dynamic and sometimes unpredictable environments
* Government experience (state or federal) is a strong -nice-to-have-

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
