Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior BI Developer with a strong background in data engineering, enterprise application support, and business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with deep business engagement to design and deliver scalable data processing and reporting systems that empower data-driven decision making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design, development, deployment, and support of enterprise data processing, reporting, and analytics solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—such as EMS, DocDB, DevSecOps platform support, and business units—to gather, analyze, and refine requirements into actionable technical solutions.
- Act as a trusted partner to clients and stakeholders to understand operational needs, clarify business requirements, and translate those into robust technical designs.
- Develop and maintain ETL workflows, data pipelines, and report solutions to support enterprise data warehouse and BI initiatives.
- Build scalable, maintainable solutions using industry standard practices for data modeling, integration, and performance optimization.
- Support full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirement analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and availability for enterprise reporting and analytics.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members and contribute to architectural discussions and decisions.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering and/or data engineering supporting enterprise solutions on a scale.
- Proven experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver technical solutions aligned with business needs.
- Strong background in Business Intelligence development, data warehousing, and analytics tools.
Technical Skills:
- Databases / SQL: Oracle, PostgreSQL — advanced query development and performance tuning.
- ETL / Data Integration: Pentaho (Spoon/KTR, ETL design and development).
- Programming: Java for data processing, integration workflows, and application development.
- APIs: REST API development and integration.
- Operating Systems / Tools: Linux (RHEL 8), Git.
- BI & OLAP: Mondrian OLAP or similar analytical engines.
- Web & UI Development (nice-to-have): Experience with Liferay DXP (including workflows), Angular, and React JS.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science, or related field
