Wi-Fi Automation Engineer

We are seeking a Wi-Fi Test Engineer with strong expertise in 802.11 Wi-Fi standards, RF fundamentals, and wireless security protocols. The role involves testing and validating Wi-Fi routers, extenders, and mesh networking solutions to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and seamless roaming.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test plans for Wi-Fi routers, extenders, and mesh systems

• Perform functional, performance, stress, and roaming testing (802.11k/v/r)

• Evaluate Wi-Fi range, throughput, latency, coverage optimization, and backhaul performance

• Analyze packet captures and network behavior using Wireshark, iperf, and industry Wi-Fi test tools

• Develop and execute automated and manual test strategies

• Debug complex Wi-Fi issues related to band steering, roaming, and cloud-managed Wi-Fi solutions

• Stay current with Wi-Fi 6/6E/7 technologies and integrate best practices into testing

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong understanding of 802.11 standards, RF fundamentals, and wireless security

• Hands-on experience with Wi-Fi routers, extenders, and mesh networks

• Knowledge of band steering, cloud-managed Wi-Fi, and roaming protocols (802.11k/v/r)

• Proficiency in network debugging, packet analysis, and troubleshooting

• Experience with Python, shell scripting, or similar automation tools

• Familiarity with Wi-Fi test tools (VeriWave, IXIA Chariot, Spirent, Alethea, Wireshark, OmniPeek)

• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, RADIUS, and related networking protocols
