Job Title: Tool and Die Maker (Tool and Die Maker Experience Required) $70,000-$80,000 salaryLocation: Montgomery, AL Job Type: Full-timeShift: Day ShiftPay Range: $70,000-$80,000 annual salaryAbout the Role:We are seeking an experienced Tool and Die Maker to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will build, repair, and maintain a variety of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in production. The ideal candidate has strong machining skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Fabricate, assemble, and repair precision tools, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures.
- Operate manual and CNC machining equipment (mills, lathes, grinders, EDM, etc.).
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD files.
- Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and adjustments on dies and tooling.
- Conduct precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Ensure tooling meets quality and performance standards before release to production.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams on improvements and new tool development.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Qualifications:- 2+ years of tool and die making experience (or completion of a certified apprenticeship program).
- Proficiency in machining processes and equipment.
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
- Experience with CNC programming (preferred but not required).
- High mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Skills:- Experience with CAD/CAM software.
- Background in automotive, metal stamping, injection molding, or related manufacturing.
- Knowledge of heat treating processes and material selection.
