Required Skills :
We are looking for individual who have experience in New Product Development , CAD Modelling ( 3D & 2D) using CAD Tools - Autodesk Inventor/ PTC Creo/ SolidWorks .
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient candidate with deep expertise in 3D modelling, CAD Design and automation. This role combines hands-on development with strategic solutioning, acting as a bridge between customer stakeholders and offshore development teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in NPD and CAD customization and engineering workflow optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Design & Stakeholder Engagement
Develop detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions using CAD design tools
Analyse design feasibility considering functionality, manufacturability, cost, safety, and market needs.
Collaborate with customer engineering teams to gather requirements and propose innovative design solutions.
Interface with cross-functional customer departments (engineering, design, manufacturing).
Translate business and technical requirements into actionable solution roadmaps.
Propose and lead implementation of CAD-PDM integrated automation strategies.
Own key deliverables to reduce customer bandwidth and drive technical leadership.
Process Optimization & Standardization
Exposure to CAD Automation Development
Analyse and automate engineering workflows to reduce manual effort.
Develop reusable, maintainable code structures for long-term scalability.
Support continuous improvement initiatives in design automation.
Engineering Design Support (Preferred)
Provide CAD modelling, BOM generation, and ECN handling support.
Project Leadership & Communication
Lead offshore development teams in solution design, testing, and deployment.
Facilitate cross-functional discussions to align automation goals.
Prepare user documentation, training materials, and conduct knowledge transfer
sessions.
Required Technical Skills:
10+ years of experience in Mechanical Design , 3D Modelling , 2D Detailing, New Product Design (NPD). , CAD Automation( Good to have)
CAD Tools: Creo (Toolkit, JLink), SolidWorks, Inventor
Other Tools: MS Office Suite, MS Project, Version Control Systems
