Genesis10 is currently seeking a Business Analyst for the Data Team for a 1 year contract role with our client. This role will be 100% remote. Compensation: $65.00 - 75.00 per hour, W2, depending on skill and experience level. Summary: This role will drive discovery, clarification, and documentation of requirements, transforming complex business needs into data-driven solutions. They independently manage multiple medium- to large-scale features, leveraging strong critical thinking and systems thinking to guide business process analysis and support strategic planning.
Qualifications Key Experience(s)
- Strong knowledge of business analytics methods and best practices
- Experience working with data solutions, including mapping database tables and columns
- Skilled in preparing data for customer reporting and analytics needs
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders to identify, document, and refine requirements
- Manages requirements from discovery through development, validation, and user acceptance testing
- Writes clear, concise documentation for data products and reporting systems
- Experience leading projects and coordinating diverse internal and external teams to drive results
Key Skill(s): - Strong oral and written communication skills, able to effectively share information with peers, leaders, customers, and both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Solid understanding of current and emerging technologies, along with industry best practices
- Comfortable using AI productivity tools and aware of their limitations.
Key Technology: Data & Reporting
- Intermediate to advanced SQL (experience with AQT or similar tools for DB2).
- Familiarity with data platforms: Databricks, Snowflake.
- Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI preferred).
- Understanding of data mapping and data quality troubleshooting.
- Agile Practices
- Experience with Scrumban, Scrum, or Agile methodologies.
Tools: Jira, Azure DevOps.
Domain Knowledge
- Ability to build knowledge of Farm Credit and SBS internal systems.
- Familiarity with DNA / Client products (preferred).

Support & Operational Capabilities Experienced in support-heavy environments, managing data mapping, data education, and stakeholder questions. Maintains transparency around work status, new requests, and blockers-critical in environments with ~40% support load. Builds deep domain knowledge to troubleshoot, triangulate, and resolve data quality and support issues effectively.
Technical Skills Intermediate to advanced SQL, including RNA SQL creation, dataset modifications, and deployment. Hands-on experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, and SQL tools like AQT for DB2/mainframe decommissioning. Proficient with Power BI (PBI) for reporting and analytics. Familiar with DNA / Client products.
Delivery & Methodology Experience Background in Agile, Scrum, and Scrumban methodologies. Skilled with work-tracking and delivery tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps.
