DevOps Engineer
We are seeking a driven DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. This team is responsible for managing public cloud infrastructure, evolving DevOps practices, and supporting the companies real-time syndicated loan data platform. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in DevOps methodologies, cloud-native applications, distributed systems, and CI/CD pipeline development.
The company is located in New York, NY and will be a hybrid model of 3 days onsite a week.

We are seeking a driven DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. This team is responsible for managing public cloud infrastructure, evolving DevOps practices, and supporting the companies real-time syndicated loan data platform. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in DevOps methodologies, cloud-native applications, distributed systems, and CI/CD pipeline development.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Drive application modernization by implementing DevOps practices and CI/CD toolchains.
- Continuously improve architecture, infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, and observability to optimize systems and workflows.
- Collaborate closely with developers to ensure applications align with DevOps best practices.
- Design, maintain, and troubleshoot Azure cloud infrastructure across networking, application, and database layers.
- Enhance and maintain disaster recovery strategies and backup procedures to safeguard business continuity.
- Participate in release rotations and on-call support for production systems, including occasional weekends.
- 3+ years with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- 4-5+ years designing, developing, testing, and managing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
- 3+ years scripting in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar.
- 3+ years working with public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform).
- 2+ years with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Azure Bicep, CloudFormation, etc.).
- Familiarity with messaging platforms (Kafka, Azure Event Hubs).
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and tracing tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with build frameworks (Gradle, Maven, NPM).
- Strong understanding of Linux operating systems.
- Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and adapt quickly.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a growth mindset.
- Kubernetes or public cloud certifications.
- Experience with Azure and/or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Datadog.
- Familiarity with application development in Java and React.
