Construction Superintendent

DayToDay Responsbilities:

• Lead day-to-day field execution for MEP-intensive R&D lab and robotics infrastructure projects Read, interpret, and translate construction drawings and blueprints into field execution (no hand-holding)


• Identify scope gaps and issues before they impact schedule or quality Manage 7 10 concurrent projects ranging from $100K $250K (portfolio value up to ~$2M) Oversee 8 9 subcontractors and vendors across mechanical, electrical, and specialty trades


• Run daily stand-ups and short-interval planning with a proactive leadership mindset


• Partner closely with the Project Manager (who owns contracts) while owning execution from handoff forward


• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance in active lab environments (MEP, power, infrastructure)


• Support projects tied to Energy, Robotics, Powerwall, Powerpack, and R&D incubation initiatives

Must Have:

• Seasoned Superintendent background (trade-up leadership, not coordinator-level)


• Strong MEP field leadership experience in lab, R&D, or high-tech facilities Proven ability to read drawings independently and translate them to the field


• Experience using Bluebeam and Autodesk / BIM 360


• Strong communication skills and ability to lead without constant oversight


• Background managing subcontractors ( mechanical, or carpentry foundation preferred)


• Experience in lab/R&D environments (not just standard commercial buildings)


• Leadership mindset: anticipates issues, advocates for the field, and drives accountability
