Job Summary

Under limited supervision, this role is responsible for coordinating, designing, and securing computer databases to store, track, and maintain a large volume of critical business information. The selected candidate will serve as a senior-level subject matter expert, providing authoritative guidance to professional staff and may also function in a lead capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 7 years of experience supporting operating systems, database management systems, or related fields

Required Skills and Experience

• 6+ years of hands-on SQL Server RDBMS administration
• 6+ years of experience managing backup, recovery, and high availability solutions
• 6+ years of SQL Server development, performance tuning, and optimization
• 6+ years of experience working with Microsoft operating systems, clustered environments, and T-SQL programming
• 6+ years of SQL query and scripting experience
• 4+ years of experience with Always on High Availability Groups
• 4+ years of experience in database migrations
• 3+ years of experience in database space management, storage design, and capacity planning
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (4+ years)
• Experience creating ER diagrams, database documentation, data dictionaries, and system architecture documents (3+ years)
