Software Development Process Engineer - C2C -12MONTHS

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Engineering, Software Development, or Software Testing

• Proven experience working across multiple development methodologies, including Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile

• Demonstrated track record of implementing industry-leading development and quality practices across diverse teams and work environments

• Experience leading projects of varying size and complexity using multiple delivery processes

• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) within large, matrixed organizations

• Experience driving organizational change through modern software and controls development process improvements

• Hands-on experience with in-house tool development (PowerApps, Power BI, Python, or similar)

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and educate individuals and teams

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels

• Educational background in Engineering or Software Development

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Strong passion for process excellence, quality, and on-time delivery of high-quality products

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain controls and software development processes aligned with organizational standards to ensure world-class product quality for customers

• Facilitate continuous learning and development through individual and team coaching

• Coach managers and leaders on industry-leading controls and software development practices to drive top-down adoption

• Communicate core development principles, teaming practices, and the overall operating model across the organization

• Champion the use of metrics and objective measures to ensure effective and consistent process deployment

• Maintain objectivity on process issues and coach teams to resolve challenges using best-in-class software development principles

• Support and participate in stand-up and cross-functional meetings to review process adherence and tool utilization

• Prepare, implement, maintain, and audit product development standards, policies, and procedures

• Drive process and tool optimization, particularly across new platforms and technologies

• Partner closely with the Quality organization to define, implement, and sustain new and improved processes

• Lead process improvement initiatives, ensuring delivery against defined goals, timelines, and quality standards

Key Deliverables

• Process Documentation Inventory identifying documents to be created, updated, or retired to support the controls and software engineering lifecycle

• Risk and Gap Analysis of existing process documentation, identifying additional requirements to enable world-class product quality

• Process Documentation Project Plan, incorporating priorities based on risk, improvement opportunities, and available resources, with progress tracking over time

• Defined cross-functional working team, including subject matter experts and product specialists, to support process development and deployment

• Development and delivery of training materials and sessions to ensure process understanding, adoption, and adherence

• Collection and analysis of process and quality metrics (including first-pass yield) to measure progress, improvement, and compliance

• Process and Release Audit Reports to proactively validate process adherence throughout the controls and software development lifecycle prior to product release

• Successful delivery of process improvement project outcomes aligned with agreed milestones, quality objectives, and stakeholder expectations
