Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe Developer / CICS Systems Engineer to support and enhance mission-critical applications in a large-scale z/OS Sysplex and CICSPlex environment. The role involves COBOL/JCL development, IDMS/ADSO online systems, CICS engineering, performance tuning, and production support, including dedicated support for the Parking Violation System.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain COBOL batch and online programs and JCL on z/OS.
Provide production support, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis.
Perform systems analysis, design, development, and project implementation.
Develop and support IDMS/ADSO online applications using ADSO, IDD, ADSC, MAPC, DDDL, DMLO, OLP, PFCH, DME.
Maintain screen maps (symbolic and physical) and technical documentation.
Engineer and support CICS TS regions in Sysplex/CICSPlex environments.
Perform CICS performance monitoring, tuning, debugging, and dump analysis.
Analyze CICS SMF records using CICS Performance Analyzer and tools like Sysview for CICS.
Implement and support CICSPlex SM, dynamic transaction routing, and resource definitions.
Support SMP/E maintenance, software upgrades, and patching.
Support WebSphere MQ on z/OS integrations.
Provide on-call/off-hours support as needed.

Required Skills

7+ years of experience with COBOL (batch & online), JCL, and z/OS.
5+ years of experience with IDMS and ADSO-based online systems.
Strong experience with CICS TS in CICSPlex/Sysplex environments.
Experience with CICS performance tuning, SMF analysis, and dump analysis.
Experience with screen mapping, VSAM, SAS, VegaSoft.
Experience with SPF and TSO/ISPF.
Experience with production support in 24x7 environments.
Strong communication and troubleshooting skills.
Assembler, REXX, and COBOL for CICS exits and utilities.
Experience with CICS Configuration Manager, CICS Explorer, and CICS REST Services.
Knowledge of z/OS facilities: APF, Linklist, LPA, RLS, Coupling Facility.
Prior CICS application programming experience.
