About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Consultant to support enterprise-scale infrastructure and application reliability initiatives. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between traditional IT operations and software development, applying software engineering principles to system administration and operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve the reliability, performance, scalability, and availability of software systems
• Design, develop, and support automation scripts using Shell, Ansible, and Python for infrastructure deployment, validation, and monitoring
• Schedule and manage monitoring and automation jobs using cron and Apache Airflow
• Monitor system health and performance using tools such as Dynatrace, Apica, and Grafana
• Handle database operations and support both SQL and NoSQL environments
• Build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Perform incident management, root cause analysis, and problem management to ensure system stability
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and cloud teams to drive SRE best practices

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience with Ansible and Python
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools including Dynatrace, Apica, and Grafana

Required Education

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field

Required Experience

• 14+ years of overall IT Infrastructure experience
• Extensive experience with Linux environments (RHEL, CentOS), including shell scripting, filesystems, and system utilities
• Strong programming and automation experience using Python and Ansible
• Solid knowledge of distributed systems and container orchestration platforms, including on-prem and Rancher Kubernetes, with strong understanding of Kubernetes objects
• Experience with enterprise storage solutions; NetApp ONTAP preferred (volumes, aggregates, backups, DR planning)
• Experience scheduling and managing automation and monitoring workflows using cron and Apache Airflow
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Apica, and Grafana
• Database knowledge across SQL and NoSQL platforms
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (preferred)
• Strong cloud platform experience, specifically AWS, including cloud deployments, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and scripting
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Ansible in cloud and hybrid environments
