Summary
We are seeking highly skilled and proactive Senior DevOps Security Engineerto design, manage, and enhance enterprise-scale identity, infrastructure, and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Active Directory, AWS, DevOps practices, and containerized platforms, with strong automation and security skills.
The main responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available Active Directory environments supporting large-scale enterprises
- Administer and secure multi-forest Active Directory infrastructures
- Manage identity services including DNS, DHCP, SMTP, AD Trusts, PKI, and SSL certificates
- Implement and manage GPOs, authentication, replication, and AD Sites & Services
- Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Manage and support AWS cloud infrastructure and services
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes/EKS clusters
- Support event-driven architectures using AWS messaging services
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize systems using enterprise monitoring tools
- Ensure security best practices across identity, cloud, and DevOps platforms
- Ensure compliance with security standards and support audit processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application and infrastructure needs to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes for recurring issues.
- Maintain and improve disaster recovery and backup strategies.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to improve DevOps practices.
- Support cost optimization efforts by analyzing and tuning AWS resource usage.
Required Technical Skills
- Active Directory
- Extensive experience with Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019
- Experience administering Active Directory in a highly available enterprise environment (45,000+ user accounts) with a multi-forest model
- Experience in enabling services such as DNS, SMTP, DHCP, AD Trust Relationships, and PKI Certificates / SSL
- Advanced hands-on experience with security and management of: GPOs, Security Authentication, Replication, Sites & Services, RSAT tools, etc.
- Cloud & DevOps
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS services. Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Containerization
- Expert knowledge of Kubernetes / Amazon EKS cluster management, networking, storage, etc.
- Messaging
- Strong working knowledge of AWS SNS and AWS SQS for managing event-driven deployments
- Databases
- Operational experience (backup, scaling, patching, security etc.) managing AWS RDS, AWS DynamoDB, Graph DB (e.g., Neo4j)
- CI/CD & Tools
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar) and configuration management tools ( Ansible, etc.)
- Monitoring
- Experience setting up and maintaining monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., CloudWatch, Splunk)
- Scripting
- Proficiency in at least one major scripting language (Python, Bash, Powershell)
Qualifications and other Skills:
- Bachelor s and/or Master s in computer, IT or related field
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in a security-based environment focused on design and delivery of high quality, robust and scalable security solutions
- AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect).
- Experience with Java and backend/full-stack development is a plus
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Demonstrable understanding of security risk and its relation to individual customer environments
- Creative approach to solving security problems with a focus on pragmatism to drive successful outcomes
- Excellent customer interface skills communication & ability to deliver presentations, drive meetings.
- Develop long term valued relationships with the client.
- Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment, work effectively under pressure and adapt to differing environments and cultures.
