Are you passionate about building tools that help other developers succeed? In this role, you will join a specialized Media team focused on proactive engineering. Instead of just fixing bugs, you will design the diagnostics and validation layers that prevent them. You will work on high-impact tooling-similar to the Direct3D debug layer-that makes complex media and codec failures obvious and easy to solve for developers across the entire ecosystem.

responsibilities:
Build and refine runtime validation checks and diagnostic tools for media pipelines.
Analyze recurring failure patterns to create automated warnings and error messages.
Improve logging and traceability to shorten the time-to-root-cause for application developers.
Partner with graphics and OS teams to land tooling that improves platform health.
Develop technical guidance and examples to help developers self-diagnose issues.
qualifications:
4-6 years of experience in systems-level debugging (Media, Graphics, OS, or Drivers).
Proven track record of building developer-facing diagnostics, validation layers, or tracing tools.
Strong systems programming background in performance-sensitive environments.
Excellent technical communication skills with the ability to document complex workflows.
