ABOUT THIS FEATURED OPPORTUNITY

This role sits at the center of hardware and software validation, supporting teams as they test and verify software on real-world systems. You'll own and operate a hands-on test lab environment, ensuring lab infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and ready to support rapid development cycles. Working closely with software engineers, hardware teams, and program managers, you'll help ensure systems meet specifications while improving lab processes and long-term maintainability.

THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU
In this role, you will design, build, maintain, and operate lab infrastructure used for system and software validation. You'll be responsible for keeping hardware available and test-ready, troubleshooting issues across hardware, software, and networking, and acting as a critical partner to engineering teams.

• Design, set up, and maintain lab test fixtures to verify software on real hardware
• Build and maintain lab documentation, processes, and best practices
• Troubleshoot and debug hardware, software, RF, and networking issues
• Support rapid test iteration by improving lab reliability, tooling, and workflows
• Manage lab inventory, equipment stock, and procurement
• Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure lab uptime meets defined SLAs
• Act as hands-on lab support for remote engineers ("eyes and hands in the lab)
• Provide technical support to internal customers using the lab environment

Technologies and environments include Linux-based systems, networking (VLANs, external networks), RF lab equipment, and light scripting in Bash and Python to run and diagnose test automation.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

• Hands-on experience working in an RF lab environment, including building and maintaining racks, hosts, and lab equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across hardware, software, and networking systems
• Networking experience, including working with VLANs and external networks
• Linux proficiency, including accessing hosts, running commands, and diagnosing failures in Bash or Python scripts

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience with embedded systems or consumer electronics devices
• Familiarity with electronic lab equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes)
• Experience supporting or developing product test harnesses
• Administrative-level networking experience in a lab environment
• Experience programming or scripting in Python beyond basic execution and debugging
