As an Engineering Architect, you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.
Responsibilities:
Strong intuitive understanding of the problem domain (Access and Metro Ethernet Networks and Optical Communication Systems)
Evaluate and discover network and service design challenges and design innovative solutions to some key network challenges with the use of new and optimization of existing infrastructure
Collaborate across teams with an open-minded perspective on new ideas with creative contribution on new technologies, architectures, and operational approaches
Inclusive sharing of ideas and data with all stakeholders
Lead and collaborate with R&D teams to design and develop operational platforms and analyze POC performance
Develop and communicate goals, strategies, tactics, project plans, timelines, and key performance metrics to reach goals
Build lab test systems to evaluate new hardware and software products and systems supporting transport, metro ethernet, and access networks
Specify design and operations guidelines and support testing and validation teams
Conduct lab activities including plan development tests, acquire test equipment, consumables, materials, run tests, write test reports, work with the optics team and strategic partners to evaluate, troubleshoot, and further improve and develop new products
Work with program and operations resources to execute field trials and network measurement campaigns
Frequent meetings/communication with stakeholders to interpret their needs, plan/organize, and discuss progress and results
Inclined to act and do whatever is needed to get the job done
Qualifications:
Associate or higher degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience
5-10 years working in optics telecommunications systems, broadband, or hybrid fiber coax networks and related software preferred
Able to evaluate situations from the perspective of an end user/subscriber
Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and presentation are required
Solid understanding of networking (copper and optical) components as used in data centers and residential networks, including power levels, wavelengths, and problem diagnosis
Strong understanding of data networks, especially at layer 2 and 3
Software development skills such as Python, C/C++, or Go and familiarity with continuous integration and test case automation
Experience with virtualized platforms and Linux
Ability to interpret test data to determine specification compliance or potential causes for field issues

The salary range for this role is $135,000 to $190,000 or the hourly equivalent.
