Senior Cloud Data Engineer (Azure) Remote

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Data Engineer to join our Cloud Data Engineering team, responsible for migrating enterprise data platforms to the cloud and building scalable, secure, data-driven solutions using Microsoft Azure.

This is a 100% remote (WFH) opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical subject matter expert, solving complex business and data engineering challenges

• Design, develop, and optimize cloud-based data pipelines using Azure PaaS technologies

• Migrate existing on-prem data platforms to the cloud

• Build and support API-driven data solutions using Azure Functions (Python)

• Evaluate technology effectiveness through requirements gathering, testing, and analysis

• Ensure security, compliance, and governance are embedded in all solutions

• Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business teams to deliver high-quality data products

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize large-scale, multi-threaded data applications

Required Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (now or in the future)

• Strong commitment to security and compliance best practices

• Experience developing and supporting APIs using Azure Functions (Python)

• 3+ years of experience with Python and/or Azure SQL

• 3+ years of data engineering experience with large and complex datasets

• Strong expertise in SQL writing, tuning, and performance optimization

• Experience with full lifecycle development and end-to-end testing

• Hands-on experience with Git, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD tools

• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field

• Experience with Big Data technologies and NoSQL databases

• Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or other public cloud platforms

• Experience with Azure services such as Databricks, Event Hub, Data Factory, Synapse, Delta Lake, Cosmos DB, DevOps

• Prior experience leading large-scale projects

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies

• Rental, vehicle, or mobility domain experience (plus, not required)
