Introduction

We are seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join our team and assist in the daily operation of our data center facilities. The role involves hands-on work to ensure the smooth running of power, cooling, and critical equipment to prevent downtime and maintain reliability for our customers.

Responsibilities

<>Daily Operations

• Monitor data center systems such as power, cooling, and alarms.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance.
• Respond to alerts, warnings, and equipment issues.
• Escalate problems to senior engineers when needed.

<>Electrical & Mechanical Support

• Support electrical systems like UPS, generators, switchgear, and PDUs.
• Support cooling systems like CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, pumps, and air handlers.
• Assist with generator testing and fuel system checks.
• Follow lock-out/tag-out and safety procedures.

<>Incident & Issue Handling

• Respond to on-call issues and emergencies.
• Troubleshoot basic electrical or mechanical failures.
• Document incidents, repairs, and maintenance work.

<>Safety & Compliance

• Follow all safety rules and procedures.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Support audits and compliance checks.
• Use PPE and follow standard operating procedures.

Requirements

<>Required Skills & Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of electrical or mechanical systems.
• Ability to work hands-on with tools and equipment.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, nights, or on-call.
• Ability to follow procedures and safety rules.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

<>Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma, ITI, or Associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in data centers, facilities, or industrial environments.
• Basic understanding of UPS, generators, HVAC, or power systems.
• Familiarity with ticketing or monitoring systems.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift equipment (up to ~50 lbs).
• Ability to stand, walk, and work in data center environments.
• Comfortable working in loud or temperature-controlled areas.
