Role Summary
The SAP S/4HANA Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Consultant will lead solution design, configuration, and deployment of EWM capabilities across complex manufacturing environments. This role requires deep functional expertise, strong cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to translate operational requirements into scalable, compliant, and high-performing warehouse processes. Experience in high-tech manufacturing is a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Drive end-to-end design, configuration, and implementation of SAP S/4HANA EWM, including inbound, outbound, internal warehouse processes, and integration with manufacturing.
Lead workshops with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define process flows, and align on solution design.
Configure EWM components such as warehouse structure, storage types, RF frameworks, labor management, slotting, and MFS (if applicable).
Integrate EWM with SAP MM, PP, QM, SD, and TM, ensuring seamless data and process flow across the supply chain.
Develop functional specifications for RICEFW objects and collaborate with technical teams for delivery.
Support testing cycles (SIT, UAT), cutover planning, and hypercare.
Troubleshoot complex issues and provide expert-level guidance on best practices and process optimization.
Ensure compliance with operational, audit, and quality standards across warehouse and manufacturing processes.
Mentor junior consultants and support knowledge transfer to business teams.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP EWM, with at least 2 full lifecycle implementations in S/4HANA.
Strong functional expertise in inbound/outbound logistics, warehouse operations, RF processes, and inventory management.
Proven experience integrating EWM with manufacturing processes (PP, QM, MM).
Ability to design and optimize warehouse layouts, storage types, and process flows.
Strong understanding of batch management, serial number handling, and quality processes.
Experience writing functional specs and collaborating with ABAP and integration teams.
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred / Bonus Experience
High-tech manufacturing industry experience (semiconductors, electronics, hardware manufacturing).
Exposure to automated warehouse systems, conveyors, robotics, or MFS.
Experience with SAP TM integration for end-to-end logistics.
Familiarity with SAP Fiori apps for warehouse operations.
Understanding of compliance-heavy environments (SOX, ISO, FDA, etc.)
