Pay Rate : $75.00-$85.00/hr ($155K-$175K/yr)
Overview Our client, a leader and growing presence in the robotics and autonomous vehicles space, is seeking a senior-level
AI Systems Engineer to design, integrate, and operate production-grade AI systems that power real-world autonomous technologies. This role sits at the intersection of AI, embedded systems, and cloud infrastructure-supporting both advanced research initiatives and commercial product platforms.
You will work closely with AI researchers, robotics engineers, and software teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable intelligent systems.
What You'll Do - Architect system-level frameworks that integrate AI models with embedded hardware, software platforms, and cloud services
- Deploy and operationalize machine learning models into production environments
- Own lifecycle management of AI features including monitoring, scaling, updates, and security
- Evaluate system-level risks, performance impacts, and dependencies
- Partner cross-functionally with perception, planning, GNC, simulation, and application teams
- Document architectures, integration requirements, and operational standards
- Ensure transparency, accountability, and responsible AI design practices
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of systems engineering or AI engineering experience
- 2+ years of hands-on AI/ML experience
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Experience deploying models using PyTorch or similar frameworks
- Solid understanding of ML pipelines, data modeling, and production deployment workflows
- Experience with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and embedded integrations
- Familiarity with requirements and engineering tools (e.g., Jira, Jama, Doors, Polarion, SVN, ANSYS)
- Background supporting AI research and product development environments
Nice to Have - Experience integrating AI into robotics, autonomy, GNC, perception, planning, or simulation systems
- C# or application-level development experience
- Experience supporting GPU-based compute and AI infrastructure
