Data Analyst with Guidewire PolicyCenter experience to support a data modernization and analytics initiative within a Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance environment. This role will focus on extracting, profiling, validating, and transforming PolicyCenter data to support reporting, business intelligence, and downstream analytics use cases.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with Guidewire PolicyCenter data models, strong SQL skills, and the ability to translate insurance business questions into structured data outputs.
Key Responsibilities
Guidewire & Insurance Data
Analyze and extract data from Guidewire PolicyCenter (policy, account, coverage, premium, risk, transaction tables).
Understand policy lifecycle events: quote, bind, endorsement, renewal, cancellation.
Profile and validate PolicyCenter data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
Map PolicyCenter data to enterprise data warehouse or analytics models.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Write advanced SQL queries to build datasets and ad hoc reports.
Create data models and curated tables for BI and actuarial / underwriting teams.
Support dashboards and KPIs (policy count, premium, retention, loss ratios, etc.).
Perform data quality checks and root cause analysis on anomalies.
Business Collaboration
Translate business requirements into data logic and definitions.
Work with product, underwriting, claims, and IT teams to clarify data needs.
Document data definitions, transformations, and business rules.
Data Operations
Support ETL/ELT pipelines pulling data from PolicyCenter.
Assist with reconciliation between source systems and reporting layers.
Contribute to data governance and metadata documentation.
Required Skills & Experience
2–5 years as a Data Analyst in insurance or financial services.
Hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter data.
Advanced SQL (joins, window functions, aggregations, CTEs).
