With 400+ applications, substantial AWS cloud adoption, and several no-code/low-code workflows already in motion, this is an opportunity to build AI solutions at true enterprise scale.

Role Summary

The AI Enablement / Innovation Lead is a hands-on builder and strategist who will architect, design, and deliver enterprise AI capabilities-centered primarily on Amazon Web Services (AWS), especially Amazon Bedrock and its surrounding ecosystem.
You'll create AI agents, orchestrate multi-agent solutions, guide engineering teams, build integrations, solve complex technical blockers, and help shape an enterprise-wide AI roadmap.
Experience with Google Vertex AI or Microsoft Copilot is a plus, but AWS is the priority.

Key Responsibilities

AI Architecture & Build

• Design and develop solutions using AWS Bedrock, including:
  • AI agent creation and orchestration
  • Multi-agent collaboration models
  • Knowledge bases and retrieval workflows
  • Guardrails, grounding, evaluation, and prompt strategy
• Build serverless components using:
• AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, Step Functions
• Develop low-code integrations using Lambda and other AWS services.

Technical Leadership & Enablement

• Advise architects, developers, and application teams on best practices.
• Provide architectural patterns and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Research emerging models, tools, connectors, and capabilities.
• Recommend technical approaches for new business requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with product, application, and cloud teams to design end-to-end AI integrations.
• Support solution scoping, feasibility assessments, and estimation.
• Ensure AI capabilities integrate smoothly into low-code and traditional environments.

Cloud AI Breadth

• Primary: AWS (Bedrock, Serverless, Model Ops)
• Secondary: Google Vertex AI
• Tertiary: Microsoft Copilot / Azure AI

Operational & Process Leadership

• Contribute to AI governance, cost optimization, and model selection.
• Help build internal documentation, patterns, and reusable components.
• Support the recruiting pipeline by identifying strong hands-on AI builders.

Required Skills & Experience

Core AI & AWS Expertise (Must-Have)

• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock, including:
  • Model selection (Anthropic, Titan, Llama, Cohere, etc.)
  • Agent-based architectures
  • Knowledge bases, grounding, and guardrails
  • LLM lifecycle and prompt engineering
• Proven ability to build AWS-native solutions using:
• Lambda, API Gateway, Textract, Kendra, S3, IAM
• Strong understanding of multi-agent frameworks and orchestration patterns.

Software Engineering & Integration

• Building and consuming APIs in AWS.
• Integrating LLM workflows into applications and low-code platforms.
• Experience with event-driven and serverless architectures.

Cloud Platform Breadth

• Working knowledge of Google Cloud / Vertex AI.

Problem Solving & Leadership

• Ability to advise and mentor teams.
• Strong research and solution-creation mindset.
• Excellent communication with technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

• Enterprise-scale AI deployment experience.
• Low-code platform experience (Power Apps, OutSystems, ServiceNow App Engine, etc.).

• Build AI adoption playbooks and "AI Champion" communities.

Innovation Leadership

• Act as an internal catalyst for AI-driven transformation.
• Translate organizational needs into actionable AI solutions.

Integration & SaaS Expertise

• Bring AI capabilities into existing enterprise systems and SaaS providers.
• Improve workflows and productivity with AI-assisted tools.

Governance & Responsible AI

• Contribute to ethical, secure, compliant AI practices.
• Collaborate with security, legal, and compliance teams.

Measurement & Reporting

• Track impact, usage, ROI, and improvements using dashboards and analytics.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $100.00/hr.
