Overview We are currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst (SBA) for the mortgage collections and loss mitigation department. This position bridges business needs with technology and non-technology support teams to ensure day-to-day business functions execute flawlessly, to address impediments/issues, and improve operations (people, process, systems). The SBA will use business knowledge and analytical skills to identify, propose, and lead the implementation of improvement opportunities. The SBA will enhance and produce operational reporting.
Responsibilities - Reporting: Create and maintain operational reports and use insights for better decision-making. Includes, but not limited to generating historical, trending, and forecasting reports for mortgage delinquencies by state, product type, delinquency status, etc.
- Data: Design and evaluate methods and procedures for collecting and retaining business related data. Develop and monitor data quality.
- Process Oversight: Create analytical frameworks and reporting to monitor key performance/risk indicators. Perform detailed analyses on customer segments to develop collections and loss mitigation trends, forecasts, and capacity planning.
- Operational Excellence: Analyze and model business functions, information flows, and data structures to enhance efficiency (people, process, and systems).
- Project Management: Lead medium to highly complex projects, manage documentation, oversee scope, and ensure timely delivery while mitigating risks.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, management, and partners to support day-to-day operations and projects/initiatives.
- Systems/Tools: Simplify data visualization by utilizing and building dashboards via Power BI or other applications.
- Financial Analysis: Gather financial data and compile statistical information for recommendation to the senior management.
- Presentations: Synthesize complex information into clear and concise presentations, summarize and discuss recommendations
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or any related fields.
- 4+ years' experience in a business analyst, business controls, or project manager role.
- Experience in mortgage collections (early and late-stage delinquency), foreclosure, bankruptcy, and REO.
- Strong knowledge of consumer lending, mortgage servicing, and collections laws and regulations, such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Intercontinental Exchange's (ICE) Mortgage Servicing Platform (MSP) a plus.
- Knowledge of financial markets, banking and other financial activities.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize independently with minimal supervision.
- Professional working proficiency in Mandarin and or Cantonese is a plus..

Compensation The base pay range for this position is USD $75,000.00/Yr. - USD $95,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
