Job Title: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
Duration: 6+ months Work Mode: Hybrid minimum 3 days/week onsite
Location: Farmington Hills, MI - Prefer locals , or from OH, IL, KY, IN, WI or nearby who can relocate

• Interview Process: Initial video interview followed by Face-to-Face interview in Michigan
• Candidate Requirement: Must be willing to attend in-person final interview

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Agile feature teams to understand user stories and define acceptance criteria
Promote a test-first and quality-driven mindset during design and refinement sessions
Design, build, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript
Develop automated UI, API (REST/SOAP), and end-to-end test suites
Drive migration from legacy tools such as Selenium (Java) and Postman/Newman to modern frameworks
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure fast, actionable feedback
Support manual testing activities including test case design, exploratory testing, and validation of complex workflows
Participate in code reviews and influence test architecture decisions
Write SQL queries to validate data integrity and support test data creation
Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects
Support compliance with enterprise standards such as HIPAA, security, and audit readiness
Act as a quality engineering advocate by mentoring peers and improving QA practices

Required / Preferred Skills
Strong experience with Playwright (TypeScript preferred) or Cypress
UI and API test automation expertise
CI/CD integration and DevOps-based testing experience
Experience migrating from Selenium + Java based frameworks
Knowledge of test reporting, dashboards, and quality metrics
Hands-on experience with test management tools such as qTest, QMetry, or TestRail
Strong SQL skills for backend validation
Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
