Job Summary & Responsibilities We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support manufacturing and development of ONTO SDI's measurement equipment for the Semiconductor industry. This position will be based at ONTO SDI in Tampa, FL and will report to the Engineering Manager.
Role and Responsibilities: This position requires excellent communication skills in verbal and written English. It requires a highly self-motivated individual willing to take initiative in both solo and teamwork environments. In this role you will work with application scientists in developing new test and R&D setups. You should have the ability to work under pressure and tight timelines and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined environment.
Qualifications - Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent).
- 2 years' experience in electromechanical design and manufacturing.
- Altium Designer proficiency is required.
- AutoCAD Mechanical proficiency.
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor and/or Solidworks.
- Experience in PCB design, both low and high frequency.
- Experience with electrical layouts and design (AC and DC).
- Experience working on industrial equipment interlock and EMO safety systems.
- Experience working with and maintaining NRTL safety and electrical certifications.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Experience working in a production and R&D environment.
- Background working with programmable instruments, motion controllers, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
- Extensive hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical assemblies.
- Extensive experience working independently, assembly technicians or other engineers troubleshooting electrical issues, improving designs, and developing new ones.
- Proficient at soldering electrical cabling and PCB's (both through hole and surface mount components.
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Hardworking and willing to work overtime if needed.
- Domestic and International travel may be required up to ~10% of time.

Compensation & Growth Base Salary Range:
$66,080.00 - $99,120.00, offered in good faith and based on experience, location, and qualifications.
