Job Title: MuleSoft Architect
Location: Quincy, MA (Hybrid)
Work Model: Hybrid (combination of onsite and remote as needed)
Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Integrations Architect with strong MuleSoft and middleware integration expertise. This role will lead the design, implementation, and modernization of enterprise integration solutions and APIs, working closely with application teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, design, and implement middleware and integration solutions using MuleSoft and related technologies
Install, administer, and optimize integration platforms following best practices
Design, implement, and maintain APIs (SOAP & REST)
Collaborate with application development teams on API security, policy management, and governance
Lead migration and modernization of integrations from legacy platforms (WebLogic OSB 12c, ActiveMQ, IBM MQ, IBM DataPower, Java adapters)
Develop and maintain service/API registries
Conduct code reviews and prepare unit test results and deployment documentation
Participate in project planning, design, development, and release management activities
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure successful implementation
Maintain technical documentation, designs, and artifacts
Research and recommend new tools, solutions, and integration standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
Expert-level experience with MuleSoft and enterprise integration technologies
10+ years of overall software development experience
Strong hands-on experience with Java/J2EE and Oracle OSB 12c
Experience with AWS services, including API Gateway and WAF
Strong experience with XML, JSON, and schema design
JMS programming experience with IBM MQ and ActiveMQ
Experience with IBM DataPower
Strong knowledge of TLS/SSL, encryption, and digital signatures
Experience with OAuth, JWT (Azure OAuth preferred)
Working knowledge of Git, SVN, SOAPUI, Postman
Soft Skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Ability to work independently and mentor technical team members
Education & Certifications
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of 8 years of IT experience in relevant technical roles
MuleSoft Certification preferred
