Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Data & Analytics (D&A) General Manager to serve as a day-to-day leader for our client’s D&A initiatives. This role will act as the single point of accountability for all D&A delivery across multiple engagement models, including Application Development (AD), Application Management Services (AMS), Business Services (BUS), and upcoming S/4HANA initiatives.
The individual will function as both a delivery leader and a trusted advisor to the client and their direct reportees, providing hands-on leadership, architectural guidance, and operational oversight across data, analytics, infrastructure, and business processes.
Key Responsibilities
D&A Leadership & Delivery
- Own and oversee end-to-end delivery of all Data & Analytics engagements, regardless of contract type.
- Act as the primary D&A leader and escalation point for multi-project initiatives.
- Ensure alignment of D&A solutions with client business objectives and technology strategy.
- Provide architectural oversight across data, analytics, infrastructure, and integration layers.
Technical & Architectural Responsibilities
- Lead data modeling, data architecture, and data federation across platforms, primarily Google Cloud Platform, SAP/S/4HANA, and related systems.
- Provide guidance on analytics and reporting solutions using tools such as SAP BW, SAP HANA, Tableau, and similar platforms.
- Advise on AI architecture and tool adoption, including Google Cloud Platform BigQuery, Gemini, Collibra, and SAP Joule.
- Oversee systems integration using web services, Client, and other enterprise integration patterns.
- Guide infrastructure and DevOps activities across cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform, AWS), including environment management and cloning strategies.
Delivery & Operations Management
- Lead technical project delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Manage multi-project delivery plans, dependencies, risks, and timelines.
- Oversee AMS operations and ensure service levels, stability, and continuous improvement.
- Support client business operations through data-driven insights and operational analytics.
- Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
Client Management & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a trusted advisor to both business and technical stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with senior client leadership and delivery teams.
- Manage complex issues, risks, and escalations, driving timely resolution.
- Build strong working relationships with client leadership and internal teams.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in data architecture, data modeling, and data federation.
- Hands-on experience with analytics and reporting platforms (BW, HANA, Tableau, or similar).
- Knowledge of AI platforms and tools within enterprise data ecosystems.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform, AWS) and modern DevOps practices.
- Proven background in enterprise systems integration.
Delivery & Management Skills
- Demonstrated experience leading complex technical project deliveries.
- Strong multi-project and program management capabilities.
- Experience managing AMS engagements and operational support models.
- Solid understanding of project financial management.
Client & Communication Skills
- Excellent communication skills across business and technical audiences.
- Proven ability to manage and resolve complex client issues.
